In MMA the knockouts and the power punches are exciting, but the mechanics and the small techniques that set up these knockouts are key. The art of deception is an art that must be practiced over and over to master, but for those that desire to be a champion, it is definitely an art you should dedicate time to learning in your training. One such detail a fighter should work on in training, is the ability to blind your opponent, in order to set up punches. As everyone knows, it’s the punch you don’t see coming that will produce a knock out.
Engage Athlete and UFC fighter Brad Riddell covers how to hide your attacks by "blinding" your opponent. This can work with a jab or a cross, as seen in the video.
